COVID-19 Vaccine
Our pharmacies are offering in-store COVID-19 vaccinations. Stay up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccines to protect yourself and others from the complications of COVID-19. This fall, Health Canada recommends that everyone 6 months of age and older should get the updated COVID-19 vaccine, especially those at higher risk of severe disease. This includes:
- Adults aged 65 and older
- Pregnant individuals
- People with certain medical conditions
- Residents of long-term care homes
- People from Indigenous or racialized communities
If you are in a higher-risk group, getting vaccinated will help protect you from severe illness, especially since immunity from previous doses may have waned. If you're not high risk, vaccination is still recommended to reduce the spread and protect others.
For those previously vaccinated, the recommended interval for the next dose is six months after your last shot, with a minimum of three months.
Staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations will help boost protection, especially during fall and winter when other respiratory viruses like flu and RSV are also circulating. Learn more about the vaccine on the Government of Canada website.
